Burning Instructions:

  • Prior to lighting, remove and discard packaging.
  • Only burn candles on suitable holders and place them on heat and fire resistant surfaces.
  • Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches or any combustible material and keep the wick centered.
  • Burn the candle for no more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Protect your candle from dripping and smoking by placing it in a draft free area.
  • Keep the wick trimmed to 1/8"
  • •If smoking occurs, extinguish the flame, retrim the wick to 1/8”, remove trimmings and relight.
  • Keep away from children, pets and curtains and all flammable objects.
  • Glass containers are fragile, handle with care. Avoid using jars or tumblers that are cracked, chipped or scratch
  • Discontinue use when ½” of wax remains, as glass may shatter. Do not refill jars with wax.
  • Minimize the wax left on the sides by burning the candle until the wax pool reaches the edge of the jar (usually about one hour per inch of diameter). It’s normal for some wax to remain, and the amount varies per color, fragrance ad burning environment.
  • Place wax potpourri in a suitable potpourri burner and light an unscented tea light candle beneath.
  • Candles are sensitive to temperature and light, so be careful when storing them for any extended period of time. Avoid color-fading, melting or cracking by storing candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or fluorescent light.
  • Storage temperature should not be allowed to exceed 80 F or fall below 32 F. Exposure to moisture may inhibit relighting.
  • Do not move the candle while it is burning or while there is molten wax in it
  • Up North Candle Company is not liable for any injury or damage that may result from the burning of our candles
